I have a rescue male cat. We've given him his shots and everything and he has a clean bill of health. We were told he is about a year maybe a little bit over. Over the past while, he has small tendencies which my husband and I understand with him being a kitten and all and have managed to help stop a lot of them. But now he is constantly meowing late at night at nothing at times or mirrors in the living room. He loves to jump onto higher surfaces and such and is very limber. I have read up on things that can help and he is just a stubborn little guy. But have also read that neutering may help calm him down... is this true? I have had cats in the past and never had to go through it. If this will help, what am I to expect afterwards? And will he still be his playful/youthful self? Thank you in advance.
