Hello everyone, I have a question about patient rights. My grandfather is currently suffering lung cancer last stage. We had him have his first chemotherapy in New York and moved him to CA to stay with us. So he is basically late for his second chemotherapy 2 weeks already. He was on oxygen for the whole time since his illness was discovered until we landed to CA and I took him to the ER due to his shortness of breath and fluid in his lungs. He was admitted to the hospital and stayed there for 2 days. They discharged him and he no longer on oxygen. But I keep calling and calling to set him up with an appointment to see an oncologist but it's taking like 2 weeks already since he got discharged from the hospital. He was late for the 2nd chemo almost 3 weeks. And what should I do? The doctors here seems so irresponsible. It seems like he is waiting to die with no treatment. And we are in America. Please advise me what to do. Thanks

does he want to live? you will have to do it for him plus change his insurance i would call the local numbers for where your at and get him a appointment with a onicologist which you have to set it up and thing is they need to open the door for him but it no body will listen sounds like you have to get on them or just let him pass on ask him what he wants to do.
