You need to learn what the words mean. A sister is forever, no matter what, but she still is only a sister.

Many people value family highly. You need to have a discussion with him on if she is there long term or temporary. Then you need to decide if you can live with whatever his answer is. If you can't live with the sister being there then it is not the relationship for you because you will grow to resent it if you don't talk about it. You never know until you talk to him first though.
