i recently got one on my molars extracted and today i woke up in excruciating pain so i went to rinse my mouth and i noticed i spit out something dark and i thought it was the blood clot that was suppose to heal it, so i looked at the extraction site and noticed it was only halfway full of the blood clot ( yesterday it was all the way up to the top of my gums). I started to freak out thinking im going to get dry socket, I have been eating soft foods besides a bagel last night (i gave into the temptation) and ive been rinsing with salt water...
i asked my mom to take me to the dentist and she told me im a baby.... i asked for aspirin and she told me i depended on drugs too much.. i have nowhere lese to turn besides the internet so i was hoping maybe somebody can tell me if i should really go into the dentists office or if i should just brush it off and continue with how ive been dealing with ..
Last Thursday I got my lower front molar extracted and I would like to know if its healing okay?

UPDATE:
i woke up today, Monday February 1st, realizing that the white layer that formed yesterday to covered the rest of the clot (that didnt fall out) , has turned green so i gargled salt water and the layer came off only to reveal that the two holes where the roots were pulled from have been completely rotted and they were full of black and green gunk... i called my dentists office and they cant see till tomorrow ( as a walk in. because my dentist is in his office out of town) even if its an emergency... :( so i have to go ANOTHER 24 hours without treatment...

I would just monitor the situation if there is a blood clot in it then thats okay cause its still there you could gargle with listerine thatr will help don't do anything that will disturb the rest of the blood clot you can also gargle with salt water it will help it heal faster but other then that you should be fine.
It must have been infected pretty bad then you should see if you can see one of the other dentists in the office to see if you can get in i did what i thought at the time but it says that there was more wrong we both wouldn't have known this if we stood on our heads
i did as you said and i woke up today realizing that the white layer that formed yesterday to covered the rest of the clot, has turned green so i gargled salt water and the layer came off only to reveal that the two holes where the roots were pulled from have been completely rotted and they were full of black and green gunk... i called my dentists office and they cant see till tomorrow ( as a walk in. because my dentist is in his office out of town) even if its an emergency... :( i will tell you that your advice was good but not best.. good because it helped me stop panicking but it just wasnt the right advice.. i will thank you for helping my heart rate out yesterday...
