I am looking to get two chickens to keep outside, but I live in Canada where temperatures in the winter drop to below -30 degrees celsius. Is there an easy way to keep two chickens outside all year long (including the winter)?
Keeping chickens in the winter?

We are going to get or build a small coop with a predator-proof run (we do live in the country) to put them in at night, but they will be pretty much free-range all day. I'm just looking for more details about housing, feeding, watering and how to do all of these things throughout the frigid winter months.

well if you could build a chicken coop it should be done to the weather controls i'm sure others have done the same thing build it to the best weather conditions. This will keep them out of the freezeing temperatures at night make a plan as to how you want to clean water and feed them. A couple times a day i'm sure that they adapt to all weather conditions.
