I have been with a guy for 2.5 years and found out he is legally married to his ex that he broke up with before we started dating just for citizenship. She moved for him from Brazil and when her visa was about to expire 5 months after she moved, they have made an agreement to go through the legal process of marriage just to keep her in the States, but that it would just be a legal transaction, not an actual marriage. They have agreed to keep it a secret. Their relationship didn't work out and when he broke up with her 3 years ago, he promised that he would help her, so that she doesn't get kicked out of the country. She just got her citizenship and they are getting a divorce asap. And now he JUST told me about it. He didn't say anything before, because he was afraid to loose me. I have asked him directly before if he was married to her and he lied about it, because he thought I wouldn't understand and would break up with him. It's been killing him and he is greatly sorry about all this and regrets it. Weve had an absolutely incredible wonderful relationship to this point abs I know i've been the only woman in his life and he wants to be with me, get married and have a family, he does love me very much. But can I trust him?
