Me and my friend are having an argument about this question. Let's say a 200lb man jumps a out of a plane as well as a 100lb dumbbell. What would hit the ground first. Please explain your answer.

If there was no wind of any kind and there was gravity then both would land at the same time. In the atmosphere there's wind and a 200lb man is probably less dense and if alive he could try to be less aerodynamic which would make the dumbell hit the ground first. Assuming there's no parachute. The less dense and the less aerodynamic he is the less time it will take to hit the ground. I'm pretty sure the dumbbell would hit the ground the first and also in water. Gravity acts on stuff the same no matter what weight it has but wind does not, if you want more information then ask me for it.
