Joining the Infrantry in the British Army. How long is it for?

So yh, many people have told me that both phase 1 and 2 is 6 months long ( 1 bein 3 months and 2 being another) but  I have had others tell me that only phase 1 is 6 months long. SO can anyone clarify this for me?

Did it never occur to you that you could simply phone the local army recruiting office and ask them directly? According to my brother in the RMCP they spend so much time with their thumbs up their arses that they'll be glad to get a phone call...
