I am 16 and have worked at kroger for over 6 months and enjoy my job 90% of the time. Today, I was one of the only people actually working while other people sat around talking. I was running a register and bagging for another at the same time. The floor manager, who is letting everyone do what they want, punished me for not being "at my response point" and I lost my cool and walked out. Should I go back, explain, and try to get my job back or seek employment elsewhere?

Dang, that's no fun. Sounds like your manager is pretty biased towards some employees. You're gonna find that pretty much everywhere. I'd try to go back and talk to a manager above the one that was there and try to explain yourself. At the very least, you'll probably get better references from there in the future when you try to get other jobs. If you decide to stay, maybe something will be done about the other employees who were slacking off. It's always better to leave a good impression on people though because you'll need them in the future to get another job.
Thanks for the advice
