I have been having violent coughing spasms for 3 years now. I have seen many doctors and no results have been found. I've lost my job from these spasms. I can feel when they start to come on. The right side of my throat will get a tickle and my inner right ear. These are some things that trigger them:
1. Eating something too dry or spicy
2. Laughing too hard
3. Crying
4. Cleaning out ears
5. Talking too much
6. Opening mouth too wide
7. Or no particular reason at all.
8. Talking in a higher pitch
When the spasms happen I sweat, throw up, can't breath, can't open my eyes wet myself, and after it is done I have to lay down because I'm so exhausted from it. I can't sleep consistently so I'm always tired.. I'm just fed up. I can't take it anymore.
I've been having violent coughing spasms for 3 years. Can anyone help?

I had coughing fits like this for a year before my parents got fed up and took me to the doctor. I was told it was bronchitis, and was given antibiotics to clear it up. It still happens from time to time but not as severe. In the meantime drink some hot tea with honey to help soothe your throat. Mine is most prominent during winter also.
