i would say for some its normal for some its not but you have been wanting to crush on a guy for 8 years have you spoke to him and let him know how you feel i think its time to let him know how you feel it would be better then not saying anything at all at least he would know how long you have had a crush on him he would probably want to know i wouldn't keep it to myself anymore share it with him
In my opinion, there's no "normal" when it comes to love. But that's just how I feel about it. Regarding if you should tell him or not, I'm at no liberty to say.
I think there are some things you COULD try, though. Just be aware this is coming from someone who has only been on the outside of other people's relationships. I've never actually been in a proper one.
-Just coming straight out and saying it. Might make you look confident. Some guys lkke the confident ones.
-Flirt. See how he reacts. If he reacts positively, step it up, if a bit weirdred out, don't take it as a bad sign. He migh just be the type that's not good with flirting.
-Get to know him. And let him get to know you, too.
These are some things (just in my opinion) I don't think you should do.
-Get one of your friends to tell him. I think this makes you look kinda immature, and that you can't speak for yourself.
-Play hard to get. Watching other people do this, and myself, just makes the other person think you're not interested at all, and then they get bored of chasing you.
That's not a crush ofcourse. That's a real love indeed. 8years is a LONG time period and loving someone without gaining back from him/her is much difficult than it sounds.
I don't find anything abnormal about having a crush on someone for 1000years even. Just 1question : does he know that you have a crush on him? If not why don't you confess? Anyway there might have some problems, idk , but it's not abnormal.
