It's been 3 weeks and the discoloured skin left behind after scab is still there. When will it go?

Well...it depends.Have you been touching your scab? It will stay open like that. I suggest washing it, applying medicinal cream to it, then letting it breathe.

I didn't touch the scab, it stayed on for 7 days then eventually shrunk and came off.
