I am told that all the rest of the world gets high speed internet for fifteen bux a month. Why should I pay the prices asked in USA? The lowest offer I have seen is three times that for 45 MBPS service.

I have been told that service is 15 bux in Japan and "most of the rest of the world". I have not actually checked rates anywhere. A cable connection for tv and internet cost 50 bux a month back when cable was first installed. That was 20 years ago and one would assume that the startup costs have been amortized now and prices ought to come down. Instead they are going up.
