Terminology is incorrect. The eye sits in a socket / orbit, or recess in the skull. Its movement is controlled by muscles and in the back is a small optic nerve; also the lacrimal punctum. It isn't a hole by itself, just part liquid.

Your eye is not a pore in the slightest. An eye sits in an eye socket. A pore is "...a minute opening in a surface, especially the skin or integument of an organism, through which gases, liquids, or microscopic particles can pass." Nothing is PASSING through your eye holes.
