So lets say you have a pair of jumbled up headphones and you say "I have a 50% chance of grabbing the right one"...... arent there other factors that contribute to which headphone you will grab causing it to be slightly off 50%. So like the way youre sitting could effect it, your dominant hand, the way the headphones are tangled...... is this a real thing?
Is this math or science and what is it?

Probability is a mathematical theory that can be applied to some simple real-world situations. Statistics is a technical approach to estimating probability in real-world situations. It can be considered to be the science of imprecision or inaccuracy. All measurements in statistics are estimators of theoretical probability distributions.
In your example, all the uncontrolled random factors are called "confounds" that could bias your results.
