I decided to start recording my guitar playing for a YouTube video I own a Marshall guitar amplifier and it is going to be displayed in the video as evidence that I am actually playing guitar what I want to know is because my guitar amplifier is displaying the name Marshall is this copyright infringement do I need to cover the company name in order to show my amplifier in my YouTube. It really does depend. You can read the laws about the copyright system. You can find these on Youtube itself and other pages. This will help you if you need to type in a disclaimer in the description or even on the video. Most likely if you show the brand you won't get the infringement. Only music you play you MUST write down something in the Description. You most likely won't be talking about the brand so it will be alright. But as i said it depends and if you want to blur or cover the brand to be on the safe side go ahead.

Copyright infringement is the use of works protected by copyright law without permission, infringing certain exclusive rights granted to the copyright holder, such as the right to reproduce, distribute, display or perform the protected work, or to make derivative works.
It would be advertisement and not copyright I think as long the name on the YouTube video isn't labeled Marshall but I don't know you can try it and find out if think worst they'll do is take your video down or play it safe
