The text in the email:

"OK. I'm willing to send you the macbook and you'll be able to test it.
But I need a guarantee. We both need some kind of guarantee for this deal, right???
So, here is exactly how I propose a safe deal:

1) You go to the nearest Western Union branch and deposit the money to UK in your best friend's name; (you'll use one of your best friend's name as receiver, NOT my name) - YOUR GUARANTEE

2) After you deposit the money, you email me the receipt as proof that you have the amount available and you are really interested in my macbook. - MY GUARANTEE

3) I'll send the macbook to your address. ( If you decide not to buy it, you'll cancel the money transfer and take your deposit back and return the macbook on my expense. But it's brand new and I'm sure that you will be very satisfied ! )

4) After the macbook is verified you go to Western Union and modify the deposit by changing the receiver's name with my name; (so that I can withdraw the money)

It's a simple and 100% safe deal for both of us !!!

Let me know if we have a deal.

Thanks!"

Is this a scam?
