Lola was any normal, happy kid. She was a kind girl, a generous child, and a good friend. She made her parents and teachers proud of whom she was.
But that was before Lola disappeared one night a couple of weeks after her class’ balloon pen pal project. All Lola would say is she had woken up far from her bed, which was evident.
After that, Lola would not talk. She would not act as fast. It was hard to get her attention. The psychologist declared that she had psychosis after several reported moments in school and at home, shouting about things she ‘claimed to be present’ or having no idea of certain problems in the world around her. But Lola knows better.
Lola lives life inside of her head. She makes mental comments, mentally responds to people, and took up selective hearing. Only flashes of the memory in nightmares will come. Of course, she remembers everything. Nobody deserves to know what happened to Lola. Lola knows what would happen if she says anything, ever again.
Things take yet another rocky turn when one last letter arrives for Lola. Lola reads the letter. It was apparent something clicked for Lola. To everyone’s delight, she began speaking again, because she knows she has a short time and cannot tell everything.
This time, Lola's disappearance is of her own accord. Will it be for forever?
