My brother-in-law is dealing with an outrageous situation. His wife died and the hospital placed a medical bill lien against her estate. The medical bill is over 300k. The collector will only negotiate down to 80% because her estate is valued at over 500k. This is disgusting. The collector will not budge. Is there anyone who can help?

My father had a similar situation and his CPA recommended CreditCrb.com. There was a $113,000 medical lien from hospital bills after my mother passed away. We called the collection company and got pretty much nowhere. We hired Credit CRB and got a reduced settlement and only had to pay $17,500. It seems so wrong to place a hospital medical debt lien against an estate. Luckily we used a great company and have a smart CPA, and my dad saved almost $100,000 and is grateful to both.
