I am dealing with a difficult client at the moment who has asked me for multiple quotes and cheeky discounts. He didn't answer my latest offer for a week until this morning when he gave me the green light. I had to tell that my availability had changed since first quoting and that the delivery of the service would be 2 weeks later than originally stated. To which he just replied :
"Thank you. We will hang on in anticipation."
English is not my native language and I was wondering if this was a way to say "thank you, we're looking forward to it" or if there could be a hint of sarcasm in his reply. Do you have an opinion?
