Is there a place where people live like it s the 20th century?

There are large areas in eastern USA where the Amish people live without electric appliances and gas powered equipment. Dairies have refigeration, because it is required by law, and they might even make a living repairing gas powered farm equipment, so they are not stupid. They just choose to live a simple lifestyle.
