Is the world going to end in 2012? if ye tell how... if no tell why?

I don't think it is. What i think is going to happen is the earths cycle will be sped up by the destruction of the environment done by humans. Therefore we will slip back into a ice age again just how the world has been for one billion years plus. It slips my mind now but i think that one scientist was right about the earth managing the populations when they got to a certain limit. That the population would be controlled by three things, war, famine or low resources, and disease.
