I am talking about the planet itself. Not the people, animals, cars, water, etc. The earth itself
Does it reproduce? No
Does it move by itself? Yes
Does it need food? No
Does it respirate? Maybe
Just asking out of curiosity?
Is the earth(itselft) alive?

The Earth, like any planet doesn't think. It's as alive as a rock you pick up on the ground. It only moves because of the gravity of our sun, and not do to much else.
Boiling water moves too, but it's not alive either. To be alive I think it must make decisions, have thought, move on it's own in non-expected ways, and the Earth is just a mostly formed rock moving around the Sun.
What's on the Earth is alive though. But those things don't combine to make one life, they are separate life forms living on the Earth.
yes, it does not reproduce but when it will be destroyed it can create more planets.
yes, it moves by rotating itself.
yes, it also do not need foo but it's soil gives others food.
yes, it respirate because it has it's atmosphere to breathe or it gives every organism oxygen doesn't it?
That's a pretty dum idea. It got a big boost in popularity when a scientist was feeling poetic and said something about "Gaiea", a name that he made up. But he says he immediately wished he had kept his mouth shut because the wacko earth worshippers turned into a wacko religion.
