Is the conjuring and annabelle are the same movie ?

No, they are two complete different movies. I did see a commercial once though and I think it may of said that the creators of The Conjuring also created Annabelle. But they're definetley not the same movie.

In The Conjuring the ghost hunters have a case where they collect the doll Annabelle from a home it was haunting and then they move on to the main case that the movie is about. Annabelle is the sequel...or more accurately...the prequel...its abou how the doll became posessed in the first place.
