I am planning a career in publishing videos of popular games. I have seen many people publishing videos of popular video games and earning thousands of dollars every year. I am a teenager from India and I am considering capturing videos of popular games and than publishing those on youtube. Is this a good choice for a career ? Is this a lasting career ? Please guide me honestly.
Is publishing videos of games on youtube a good career choice ?

The thing is, there are a lot of gaming channels out there, and everyone seems to want to make them. It'll be easy to get lost in the mix. The internet is very picky, and probably won't like you if you're fairly young (early/mid teens), and don't have decent equipment or programs (Don't use Windows Movie Maker/iMovie).
Always think from the eyes of a viewer. What do my thumbnails look like? What age demographic am I entertaining? Do I talk too much/too fast or have long pauses of no talking at all? Am I generally likeable and open to my viewers? Also, don't let people in the comments trigger you. If someone hates, just deal with it, ignore it, don't lecture them because that's what they want. Act as professional as you can, really.
As far as it being a career choice... It's a good one, because as you know, the popular YouTube gamers out there do earn thousands. However, if your channel doesn't grow, no you will not be able to make it a full-time career as you don't earn a lot at the beginning.
Don't try to be like anyone, just be yourself. Be grateful, be nice, interact with your fans, but most importantly, remember it's a scary start but you will get used to it.
Good luck!
This is a simple question but hard to answer. The thing is that you normally don’t get rich at all from posting video game videos. This is because so many people do it and only some of them make it to the part where it becomes their job. What I’m trying to say is that it is very hard to earn money from it unless you are really good at something so people want to watch you in particular. Still if you think it’s a fun thing to do, go for it! Just make sure you have a back-up plan in case things don’t work out. Hope this helps you!
