You need to work on what the words mean. Google says:

par·a·psy·chol·o·gy
noun
the study of mental phenomena that are excluded from or inexplicable by orthodox scientific psychology (such as hypnosis, telepathy, etc.).

Science is anything that can be measured. Psychology is the study of the way people think. There is no way to measure what people think, so by definition it is not scientific. I have no idea why they put the word 'orthodox' in there. That is a word used to describe religions. Unless, of course, science has turned into a religion. It often seems that way.

Greek "para-" means alongside. Parascience is the study of how we know what we know, but paranormal means things that are not subject to laws of normality. So parapsychology might mean study of the way we study the way people think, or it might mean something less specific. We are getting into a degree of indirectness here that makes it hard to assess what we are talking about.

WTF are you talking about?
