Is Online Shopping risky ??

Hey, in my opinion. I think online shopping is always a risk, your giving out your ID, postal code, house adress, everything. Also your giving them your bank card nunber. Which controls all of your money. I had one situation when i was buying shoes from just fab. My shoes never went through(never made the proper purchase) yet when i looked in my bank online..i was down $100 i called 3 different people and i was so frusturated. And i told them my bank number and i felt so vulnerable because thats all the money i had worked my ass off for. Of course the money came back to mt account. But what ive always done was read commenrs from people. And if they were syaing they never got their order.. RED FLAG you always want to make sure its a loyal company..like amazon, i know people that order stuff from there and it comes within days. Other places, can be risky. Theres always a chance something will hapen. But if you find a good compantly thats loyal. You shouldnt have a problem. I really wish i trusted doing online shopping (addicted to shopping) but i just havent dound a really good website to shop from. Hope this helps!:)

Everything involves some risk. However, if you purchase from amazon.com, eBay, or other reputable places the risk is no greater than shopping at a local retail store. There are online sites that are almost scams. However, if you pay by credit card or PayPal, you can get the charges reversed.

Credit card companies tend to favor business. However, you are their customer and they are not going to risk losing you as their customer by refusing to reverse charges.Over the last 20 plus years, my credit card company has always reversed charges when I asked.

PayPal will always reversed charges, including shipping to you, if you return the item but you must pay the cost of return shipping. The only exception is if it is not a physical item such as something you download to your computer.

Your credit card company protects you against fraud, and if fraud PayPal will refund all your money. Once (about 3 years ago) somebody accessed my PayPal account and made 5 transfers totaling over $1,000, I didn't catch it at first, when I saw the emails from PayPal, because the money was transferred to my bank; just a different account number. I don't know if PayPal recovered the money or not; they wouldn't tell me. However, they quickly, within 3 days after I asked, refunded all the money. PayPal required that I change my password.

Everything has its pros and cons. Online shopping can bring loss to you if you don't consider certain important things as in:
Carefully choosing an e-commerce site
Reading the reveiws of the product before purchasing it would be helpful
Secure payment options: the safest one is COD
Take an example, say, shoes. So before buying it carefully see its sizes as it is differentiated in U.S,U.k, etc sizes
Keeping all these things in mind, you can safely do e-shopping
