While in class one day my teacher said she hated "white people" she is african american and used to live in an area where white people were more populated and she said she did not like them, or the way they did things. This only upsets me because i am partially white and i now feel scared to ask her for anything during class or raise my hand to ask a question. She has been helping me to get caught up in the class due to me being moved into that class late and now I don't want to ask her for help anymore. What should I do? Should I just ignore her?

i wouldn't say anything to set her off its okay to ask for help i would ask for help from one of the other students it makes sense to do that well if she is helping you she doesn't have a problem with you i wouldn't be scared of her she must realize your just a student
Yes, your teacher is a racist, and should not be be teaching hatred for any race. The United States is made up of many different colors of people, with wonderful mixes of race and culture. You are an example of that, as is the president of the United States. That is what makes the US such a wonderful place. That being said, you need to pass the class, so don,t say anything about being biracial to her. Continue seeking her help, catch up, and realize that you've learned an important lesson about the ugliness of racism, and the rich heritage of biracial and mixed people. Good luck to you in the class, and celebrate your uniqueness!!
Well she can't hurt you.she does sound racist but that could only mean she hated her life growing up but if you need help with ur work don't be afraid to ask for her help she can't yell or hurt you that's her job but I don't know why she would tell her class about hating white people that's wrong but you can't ignore her she has to do her job but if it comes to the point his is crazy than just ignore her than
Goodluck
