My situation is this: I have dental work which will cost c. $3,000 this year which can't be postponed until next year. It seems like a waste of money to purchase an insurance policy which will not cover my present expenses which are large. If it were only general cleaning which costs c. $150.oo for one year it seems unwise to buy dental insurance costing over $600/year.
Is it worth buying dental insurance when coverage begins a year from the date I purchase it?
