I'm about to go backpacking in Europe (Spain and Italy, overnight layover in Moscow). Is it wise to go with a camo backpack or should I stick to more of a dark green or black? I thought camo would ensure people wouldn't bother me
Is it wise to use a camo backpack in Europe?

Getting a camoflagued backpack is just going to make you look ridiculous, dark green.. ok, black.. maybe. But why?! You'll look like one of those nutters who wear camo trousers and sunglasses when they go shopping Tescos. Do you really think you people are going to bother you so much you'll need to be inconspicuous because the examples you gave are probably the ones that will make you stand out the most.
Look, just buy a decent, good quality hiking backpack in a colour you like, preferably one that is brightly coloured. Make sure it is one you can carry comfortably and that it does not have metal supports (makes it easier to get through the airports).
If it's your first time visiting europe feel free to ask me any questions as I live there and have been to virtually every country in the EU :)
