Is it weird that I can open y eyes and respond to questions while Im asleep? (My mom told me I do)?

So we where away on vacation and apperently when my  mom asked me a question i opened my eyes and answered and my eyes stayed open for like 3 minutes. Im know to talk and speak nonsense in my sleep but this isnt the first time someone has told me i actually opened my eyes and responded

You could check for things like, lagophthalmos, sleepwalking,sleep talking. It is not weird, it's just a thing that happens, no need to worry, but if you do feel worried you can always seek the help of a professional...

Not weird, entirely normal. Almost everybody experiences loss of memory at one time or another, especially while sleeping. (More often while drunk.)
