Is it too late for a 12-year-old girl to learn guitar?

I saw some videos of guitarist on Youtube and I got interested.When I asked for my parents permission to take up guitar lessons,they said that it's too late for me.Is it true??

Of course not, I personally know a couple of gents who started learning guitar in their 60s. It is never too late to learn to play any musical instrument, and it will give you years of enjoyment.

u can learn anything at any age...  I'm planning on taking guitar classes next year. now I'm 21 :)

If anything id be cautious of how much you play
At such a YOUNG age, your hands are developing
And too much guitar can be painfull
