Is it technically possible to use only kanji characters in Japanese writing nowadays?

As you know in Japanese they use a combination of kanji, hiragana and katakana, which makes it so complicated.
Kanji characters are originally from China, so I believe there is an option, perhaps, to express words in 100% kanji writing like does Chinese
