My life's ambition is to travel, backpacking, being at one with nature. I want to do reckless things that push my boundaries to the limit. I want all that adrenelin and freedom, and I honestly don't care if it kills me. I have been told that this is extremely selfish as I 'have duty the to keep myself safe, for the sake of the people who love me'. I feel that I should be free to do with my life what I like, so long as I don't intentionally hurt somebody, or be carelss of others. Any opinions?

I don´t think it´s selfish, i only think that you have no idea what pushing to the boundries means.
It´s not to go over this boundries every time, it´s about that you be aware of them.
Every idiot can go over his boundries, but only the clever ones can accept them.
It isn´t a bad thing to have boundries but it´s a bad thing to die.
