I still live at home and I'm thinking of moving out. I got a puppy last year around sept. (2014) but my puppy has grown up with my moms 3 dogs and my boyfriend thinks it's selfish of me to want to take my dog with me because it would just be me, my boyfriend and my dog. Not that we wouldn't be home most of the time (I think) but while none of us are home, my dog is by himself. So is it selfish of me to want to take my dog with me when I move out?

I think it works for both sides really. Personally I don't think it's selfish enough to leave the dog. It's like you really want to take a piece of you with you from your moms house. I completely understand. Not sure how everyone else feels, but know there is someone out in the world that agrees with how you feel. (wanting to take the companion). :)
PS: The boyfriend probably told you that because he wants to be selfish. Happy questioning.
