I have these two nail polish removers, but theyre not made by the same people. both the bottles are half empty and taking up room so i was wondering if (just to safe some space) if it would be safe to mix them together or would it be a bad idea? I just want to know if there would be any harmful effects.

It is always a bad idea to mix unknown chemicals. There are two types of polish, lacquer and enamel, so one would expect at least two types of polish remover. Lacquer is removed with acetone, which has a distinctive odor, so if they smell the same it's ok to mix them.
I told you everything I know. But if you are short on space, it's ok to throw one bottle out. It's cheap enough.
is there any other way to tell which kind it is?
