This past Saturday I was on my way to the store for Easter shopping for my little brothers and sister. Before I continue let me inform you that I am 17 years old (turning 18 in Nov.) , with no permit or lisence,( I tried taking my permit but they said I would have to wait til I'm 17 1/2 years old), yes I am cleared I shouldn't have been driving in the first place. As I was finishing my left turn on a green light, a car from across the street was driving above speed and crashed into me the entire passenger side. Both cars were really severe and non fixable, police arrive, and said even if the accident wasn't my fault, I am still to blame since I drove with no lisence, my moms insurance didn't cover our van damages but to the other lady it did :(. Now I'm worried if my lisence will be pushed back another 3 years?!?! I start college soon and I will need to get back behind the wheel. I have been driving for over a year and had no problems til that day /.\ it's sad this happened to me!
Is it possible to still get my lisence at 18 after a car accident ?

If you lack formal education of the subject, you had been endangering yourself, the people being chauffeured and other drivers for over a year. Such blatant disregard for life is penalised with at least 1-2yrs suspension by the law, it seems. You need to get your priorities in order. It's possible to get along just fine in college without a private vehicle in an urban / modern environment. More difficult when deceased or imprisoned.
