If true, is it possible for it to explain quantum tunnelling?
Is it possible for the extra dimensions predicted by string theory to be time and not spatial?

Time is not a dimension. There are only three dimensions. If there were a fourth dimension, knots would not stay tied and blood would not stay in arteries.
Science is supposed to be based on observations. This is an example of the nonsense that people get into when they base their science on imagination instead of observation.
Thank you for your opinion.
Einstein said his piece, I said mine. Now we just have to wait and see which of us made a mistake.
If I could clarify my question more, Einstein's theory of relativity described time and space as not separate but as a single construct, space-time. That means that time is a fourth dimension. In simple terms, it is perpendicular to a cube. Also, this isn't imaginary. It is impossible for us to imagine higher dimensions. I welcome any future suggestions.
