In my opinion, I believe that having one religion for the world will be totally cool and simple to run things over with other countries. However, I don't think that will be possible. Even though there are some religions that are somewhat identical to each other; Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, there are still minor differences. For example, each of those religions have a different Holy Book which contains different customs. So basically, there are A LOT of minor differences. Also, most religions are "split up." Take Christianity for example, it has many different forms of it such as, Roman Catholicism, Eastern Orthodoxy, and Protestantism. The same goes for the other religions.
Simply put, everyone will argue about the religion that they should follow and the beliefs that go with it. Don't forget that a language will be involved for everyone to be able to speak for their religion.
Just imagine if everyone in the world would be able to speak the same language, that will be A-MAZING! Seriously though, I wish that everyone will aim for a single religion, but no that can't happen because again sharing religions and beliefs with other people that aren't familiar and don't have the same beliefs with you will also be cool. Religion for me, is like something that represents who you are, and so if everyone has the same religion, life may be a little to boring because everything will be the same.

Absolutely!!!! The real question is by whom and how will it be accomplished. The bible speaks about that very fact that it will happen. What type of government will be used to accomplish it and the result of all who would like to be a part of it. That brings to mind this scripture that briefly highlights the future of the world and everyone in it.
Isaiah 11:9 "They will not cause any harm or any ruin in all my holy mountain. Because the earth will certainly be filled with the knowledge of Jehovah as the waters cover the sea"

While technically it is possible to have one religion in the world, practically it may not be possible. It is just like saying there should be one nation, there should be one language in the world. How will there be one language? Chinese are comfortable with Chinese and French are comfortable with French. Just like Christians are comfortable in believing in Jesus Christ and the Bible, and the Hindus in the Upanishads, in the Vedas and their God. Therefore, while it is possible, definitely it is possible, it would be a long process for the entire world to believe in one religion, one God, one scripture, one culture, one language. It's a humongous effort. While it is possible, it is not practical. However, it is possible for the whole world to go beyond their religion, not change, but go beyond and have one spiritual belief, realize that we are all the Divine Spirit, the Soul, the Atman. This is very much possible.
No, because there could be violence and fighting involved because everyone has different religions and they stick to their religion.
