I bought some willow sticks for my hamster to chew on, and she didn't like them. I read somewhere that stripping the bark and rubbing it with carrots are two ways to get her to chew them. I've been doing both. I stripped one last week and just rubbed it with a carrot.
I gave it to her after giving her some wheat grass, and when I watched her, it looked like she was actually eating the stick. (I'm not sure of what I saw) Is it okay for her to do this, and what should I do?
Is it okay for my Winter White hamster to eat her chew stick?
