We had our wedding in the Dominican Republic and only the part of the family that lives in the Dominican Republic was able to attend. I wanted to renew our vows so that our family in New York can share the happiest day of our life. It would not be big like our wedding. I was thinking of doing it in the park and having a picnic in central park. Simple decorations, picnic food on a weekend morning. I know people leave it for bigger milestone but we also had a long distance relationship and we lived together for 2 month after the wedding before I had to come back to NY and we been separated since and only seen each other during vacation and now he will be coming to NY next month and I think it will be a great way to celebrate our 5 years of being together, our one year of marriage, our long distance relationship and everything we have overcome.
