I had a meniscus repair in my right knee 2 months ago. I was told I could start biking again and jogging around a week ago. But whenever I participating in these activity’s I have some pain in my knee for 1-2 hours afterwards, more so where the repair was done but around the knee in general. I can still feel the sutures and they haven’t moved out of place. So should I just give exercise a rest, As the pain is probably just from overusing it, or has the surgery just probably failed. I am scaredif I need my meniscus removed because I love soccer and have played it all life and I’m not willing just to give it up.

When you resumed exercise did you do it slowly say a week or two at a slow pace or distance then increase it a bit every couple weeks until you got back to normal or did you just go whole hog first time out?
"The patient may need crutches for about 6 weeks and can return to playing sports in approximately 3 months. Example 2: A patient who has surgery to repair a large meniscal tear as well as knee laxity may not be allowed to bend the knee for 4 to 6 weeks."
If you shouldnt bend the knee for 6 weeks does that sound as if you can go right back to full activities only 2 weeks later?!
I think you need to talk to your surgeon.
