Is it normal to be extremely nauesae when pregnant? 8 weeks and can't get out of bed?

I'm a father of a 6 year old.
Nausea is normal. They call it morning sickness but it lasts all day as I recall. It goes away after a while, but I seem to recall it abating at around the 3 month mark. It can never hurt to call or go to your doctor for a professional opinion. maybe there is something they can give you to ease the nausea.
