Is it bad to use plywood to cover all of the insulation in my attic floor?

I want more attic space for storage, but I wasn't sure if it is wise to cover all of the insulation. The insulation is just in the floors of my attic, not the walls.

Covering the insulation will make more space and should make the insulation more efficient.
