I was wondering because a lot of people said that it was, I think because its poisonous? I wanna see if I'm correct.

All parts of the potato plant are poisonous except the tuber. That is why you cut out the eyes, and if there is any green on the skin you have to whittle off the green parts. The poison has a long name. Here is a list of poisonous foods we commonly eat:
