Is it bad if I work out my abs every day or should I do it only like 3 times a week?

You generally need a day off between exercise periods if you are looking to build muscle.

Push ups are good all-round exercises. You'll strengthen your chest, triceps, stomach in a major way and lots of other muscle groups in a more minor way.
