I can not see how the sentance "Iceland is a country" can be considered a tautology. The sentence has one proclaim, that Iceland is a country. None of those words are redundant nor can one say that the meaning of the word Iceland has in itself a universal truth about anything. The word can be used about anything that is cold without causing logical rejection. There is even a supermarket in UK called Iceland. It has little to nothing to do with the country (at least it didn't when it was first opened).
