Because that's his name dickhead. Why should you know? You know nothing of religion! Screws fall out all the time, the world is an imperfect place.
Neither do you than.
Iifar, why don't you shut up? You're not helping us at all right now.
It depends on the belief and the religion.
Christian religion God has multiple names. He is known for the Holy Trinity. God basically split into three. Father, Son, Holy Spirit. Jesus and God are known as Jehovah, Yaweh, King of Kings, The Great I Am, and many others. I'm not sure about other religions. The jews say God's name is Yaweh.. but they also say that no one really knows God's TRUE name.
Isn't a name more personal than a title like Lord? if we have his so called qualities, we like to have names instead of just being called human, right?
Oh yeah . . . great.
God's name is Jehovah. It says it more than 7000 times in the bible. If you look in earlier bibles instead of the bibles translated today where they take out his name, you would find it.Look up the verse "Psalms 83:18" In the "American Standard Version" or in "King James Version".
What does the bible say his name is? His personal name is in the bible over 7,000 times. Even when people have tried to remove it, you can still find his name in the bible at least 4x. The king james version is one bible that many people uses. Ironically they are currently restored God's personal name to the bible. The reason they stated was because they see the confusion it was causing in identifying the difference between Jesus and his God and father...Jehovah. You can go to Ps 83:18 in one instance to see his name in your bible.
You will also notice that where his name once appeared and has been replaced with a title such as lord, it will usually be written in all caps or with a uppercase L.
You can also go to the appendix or i forgot what that is called and it will tell you what his name is and how it has been replaced by the title Lord. So the bible itself will give you a reference to the change that was made if any. If in fact you genuinely want to know what his name is and you do believe in god, then pray and ask for the specific answer. You will get what you want.
The name Lord and God are titles just like man and woman are titles. If man, woman, the animals, trees and everything else has a name, is it not logical that the one who created everyone and everything will have a name also?
Jesus said: Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified." (Matthew 6:9) Although God has many titles, he has only one name. In each language, it is pronounced differently. In English it is usually pronounced "Jehovah". But some people pronounce it "Yahweh".
God's name have been taken out of many Bibles and replaced with the titles Lord or God. But when the Bible was written, it contained God's name some 7,000 times.
Jesus made God's name known when he taught people about God. (John 17:26)
Exodus 3:15, Then God said ro Moses:
"This is what you are to say to the Israelites, 'Jehovah the God of your forefather, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.' This is my name forever, and this is how I am to be remembered from generation to generation.
Isaiah 42:8 God says, "I am Jehovah . That is my name; I give my glory to no one else. Nor my praise,to graven images."
Malachi 3:6 God says, "For I am Jehovah; I do not change."
Mark 12:29 Jesus answered: "The first is, 'Hear, O Israel, Jehovah our God is one Jehovah, and you must love Jehovah your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole mind and with your whole strength.'
Hosea 12:5 says, "Jehovah the God of armies, Jehovah is his memorial name."
Psalm 103:6 says, "Jehovah acts with righteousness and justice For all who are oppressed."
Psalms 103:8, " Jehovah is merciful and compassionate, Slow to anger and abundant in loyal love."
Psalms 127:3 tells us, "Look! Sons are an inheritance from Jehovah, The fruit of the womb is a reward."
Hope all these scriptures help you identify the true God by his name, the name that he truly wants us to identify him by from all the other False Gods
How can Jesus be God if he died? Who did he pray to the night he died?
