i need reasons why god is real, there's just too many down-sides i see

It's an interesting thought, but ultimately it is unanswerable. Or better put, here is not where you will find your answers,
I don't personally think - as previously pointed out, "he's real if you think he's real" , it seems a little bit meh... By the same logic, If I think that gravity isn't real, and I step off a tenth story building does it mean that I won't fall and I'll float away?
I think that the message of religious reason, i.e a strong moral foundation is a good way to live life, but I don't think that an omnipresent, omnipotent being created us in his image, I think that is man using fear to control man.
If a God such as that exists, then why would he have us worship on our knees? What kind of narcissistic, egomaniac would create life and all in existence from the tiniest atomical creature to light spectrums not visible to our eyes and the sound scape of which we are ignorant,
Only to have us praise him every day and devote our lives, and money (which is another man made instrument used to separate us) to 'his' - (another issue altogether) name?
Like I suggested, I don't think here is the place you'll find your answers, but if you do figure it out please let me know, :)
God is the God of rightness. Is rightness real? How do you know? We humans analyze things by logic, which means a list of things that are considered true even though we can't prove them. You can't see the list, and you can't always get two people to agree on what should or should not be on your lists. That is why we have a dozen people on a jury instead of just one judge.
So is God real? I dunno, what do you think? The bible is real. The bible defines the words by the context in which it uses them. That means the first word in the bible has to be "beginning". The bible was written by very religious people. If they had written from their own logic, they would have put the name of God first. But God is the God of rightness, and rightness is more important than His name, so the first word of the bible proves God is real. It took thousands of years for some human even to notice that.
It is not reliable to let people tell you what the bible says. Many people will make up stuff because they don't know what it says, and many will make up stuff because they wish it would not say what it says. You just have to read it for yourself. Read a chapter of Proverbs every day. Proverbs has 31 chapters so you can keep your place by just looking at a calendar. There is no religion or nothing in Proverbs and you don't have to believe anything. Just read to find wisdom. When you are comfortable with that, then read the bible from Romans to 2 Thessalonians over and over until you start to remember what it says. That is the part that applies to Christians. Here is a book to help you to understand the bible. It's a free download and you can get a hard copy at any bible book store.

Anything that is worshiped can be termed a god, inasmuch as the worshiper attributes to it might greater than his own and venerates it. A person can even let his belly be a god. (Ro 16:18; Php 3:18, 19) The Bible makes mention of many gods (Ps 86:8; 1Co 8:5, 6), but it shows that the gods of the nations are valueless gods.—Ps 96:5;
If you want to know about true God The bible states "His qualities could be seen “from the world’s creation onward,” notes Romans 1:20
In this context the Greek word rendered “world” does not refer to the planet Earth. Rather, it refers to humankind. The bible is saying that from the moment humans were created, they could see evidence of the Creator’s qualities in the things he made
The evidence is so clear that those who do not see it and who refuse to believe in God “are inexcusable.” One scholar illustrates it this way: Imagine a driver who ignores a sign that says “Detour—Turn Left.” A police officer stops him and starts writing him a ticket. The driver tries to argue that he did not see the sign. But his words carry little weight because the sign is in plain view and there is nothing wrong with the driver’s vision. Besides, as a driver, the responsibility for seeing and heeding such signs is his. So it is with the evidence of God in nature. That “sign” is in plain view. As reasoning creatures, we are capable of seeing it. There is no excuse for ignoring it.

May I ask what are the downsides that you see?
I would like to give you a few reason why I know God is real.
To Illustrate, when we see a camera, a radio or a computer we readily acknowledge that it must have been produced by an intelligent designer. I think it would be reasonable then to say that for more complex things like the eye the ear and the human brain also had an intelligent designer.
The complexity of our universe so perfectly governed by law, tells me with a law there is a law giver. The beauty on the earth, the vast variety of food, flowers, animals, all tell me not only that i was designed but that someone wanted me to enjoy life and be happy.
I have also taken the time to really examine the bible. To see what it actually teaches. Surprising it does not teach what most religious leaders or religions teach. So I am able to come to satisfying conclusions and find real answers to life's big questions.
The bible also is the only book that reveals the person of God, how he feels about matters, what his purpose for the earth and for mankind. He explains why there is so much suffering and says what he is going to do about it. Until he does, which will be very very soon, he offers practical things we can do, to cope with life's anxieties and have a measure of happiness and joy amidst this system of things. I would encourage you to look into the bible as well to find out for yourself if he is real and get answers to any question you may have. Feel free to contact me directly if you would like to discuss it further. You can also visit jw.org for tons of answers to your questions, and a bunch of videos that I know you will find very enjoyable.
Your question have been asked by many before. It's interesting to know how many illustrations could be used to answer this question. For instance, when you look at a house it authomatically comes to our mind that someone design and built it. We look at an automobile we know there was a designer and the list goes on and on. So if these things have a designer, don't you think us humans have a designer also. Think about it, if you really look into the complexity of the way our blood is transported through out our body there must be a super, super intelligent designer
who have created such master piece. Think also about your DNA, imagine not two persons have the same DNA,even your own kids carry their individual DNA, a process that is so complex and yet well put together.
How about where we are located on the earth, not to close to the sun to get scorched and not to far away to be frozen to death. You think that happened by chance ? Not at all our Grand Creator have proven over and over again that he is alive and knows exactly what's best for us. Just imagine if our Heavenly Father should hold back the oxygen we breathe in for just a couple of minutes could any one of us survive? Not at all. For God's word the bible convinces us that he is alive and is the Grand Creator and that without him we will be a failure. Jeremiah 10:23 tells us,"I well know, O Jehovah, that man's way does not belong to him. It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step." Is not that true? Man have continue to show that they are incapable of doing things beyond there reach. God reminds us that man is limited but he has the ability to accomplish what may seem impossible in our eyes, all the more reason for us to know that our living God wants us to have a relationship with him, James 4:8 he invites us to,"Draw close to God, and he will draw close to you." Its an invitation that you will never regret accepting. If you will like to build a relationship with your Living God,please contact me or visit JW.org for more information.
The quick and easy response is yes but I bet you want a full answer. Now let me tell you who I am before we start this. My name is Trenton and I'm a 15 year old who is interested in philosophy, creation, and the origins of the universe. Now on to the answer.
I'm going to prove that a God/Gods exist by using science. The big bang is an excepted theory among pretty much every atheist/science believer ect. But science disproves this as well. Quantum physics state the nothing can come from nothing in an easier way to put it. So if the big bang was true, something had to have been there before and the big bang supposedly created "EVERYTHING". Now we can go ahead and scratch that off but then people like to say that what if everything was a dream or nothing was real anyways and we are living a lie? That is false as well because if that's the case then life wouldn't exist in the first place. Consciousness is too complex and alive for 7 billion individual people to be fake and you are in a dream. If you were in a dream, no one would have a constant and understandable topic or just anything in general to say. Every sentence wouldn't make since and people wouldn't die. So in a short bit we proved that the big bang didn't happen and that life and consciousness is real and does exist. Now still in the laws of quantum physics there are things called anti-protons. These things do and don't exist at the same time because when an anti and a positive or normal proton collide, they disapear out of existence. So since that law is there, everything would be destroyed as soon as it pops into the universe. But why are there planets, stars, life, and consciousness? We've already proved that the universe does exist but yet the anti-protons do not destroy us. In science everything is made out of protons and there are an even or 0 amount of positive and anti or negative protons. Now you might say there are more positive protons and that explains it but if that was the case the universe would become unstable and collapse in on its self. Also life is too complex for it to have been made by natural events, That's like rolling and infinite sided die (singular dice) and you became the luckiest man in the universe of time and space and you keep getting the best rolls possible. The human mind can't even comprehend and think of absolute 0 or infinity. But yet time, time, again, people try to look to science to understand the universe when science is yet filled with theories that haven't been proven. It's basically believing in a religion. But back on track. Now the only way that we can justify life and the universe being created was that there has to have been someone, or something to have created it first. Back on to the big bang really quick. It might have happen but there has to have been something before it to start it like I said previously. And humans can't think of absolute 0 or void in this sense. So there had to have been something to create it. And the reason we can't think of infinity? It's probably because God is infinite in wisdom, power, strength, and every aspect that you can think of and can't think of. If you could think of infinite then you would become a God yourself. Or become apart of the universe and be spread out through time and space evenly forever. So to wrap things up.
Does God exist? Yes but it's your choice to worship him and if you do it's your choice in how to worship him (i.e. religion). Just know that he does exist.
this is a really stupid question. definitely, God is real.
No, all religion is an invention. Reasons for it's invention include,
1) not knowing how to explain something so saying a higher power did it.
2) as a form of control over the masses
3) as a way to persuade people to do or not to do something.
4) as a way of explaining our sense of "self".
There is no god or goddess or pantheon. If you want to worship something invent something yourself, start a religion, it's an easy way to make money.
I've tried to think differently.
Let's think what it would be like if God was NOT real.
Then all the religions and people adhering to them are being fouled.
The Bible tells of information which seems more realistic than that taught by most Christian religions. It's written by a few people over hundreds of years, but seems to be penned by one entity. It tells people how to be good, kind, caring, etc, which can't be a bad thing. It also mentions things that the people of the time couldn't possibly have known about. So the biggest question is "Where did they get this information to write?".
Then one has to look at nature.
Google Fibonacci number sequence - watch YouTube - very interesting.
The spiral is of a fern, ocean wave, hurricane, milky way galaxy, etc.
Look at the general shape of planets - all spherical - as far as the eye can see.
Study Universal mathematics. The Universe follows the same set of formulas from the smallest of atom to the largest of galaxy.
All this points to the concept and the principle that the entire Universe boils down to:
Concept: The Seed - It grows into and produces more seeds and reproduces on or after expiring.
Principle: One design = One designer.
Very interesting to research.
Everyone that has done so with an open mind comes to the same conclusion to some degree.
But there has to be a first.
And there has to be a designer.
I hope this helps with your search for answers
We are unable to accept God’s existence because of religion. The problem is that religion has confused us. All religions are good, but the fact that every religion believes that it is the only true religion, that its God is the real God, that its scripture is the best scripture, this has made fools of humanity. Religions must make us realize that religions may be many but God is one. We may call water by different names depending on the language, but it doesn't change what water is. Water is water, God is God. God is real because He is the Creator of this entire universe. Without God, there world be no you and me. Who governs birth and death? Who governs the earth's rotation and revolution? There is a power. But this is not a God of religion. God is a power beyond religion. We have to realize that power called God.
I thought your comment was interesting. Would you agree that most of us today believe something is true when it is clearly not true, at least to other people? Sometimes it is often referred to as being crazy. We can also not believe something that is very true as well. I think our beliefs no matter what they are should be based on sound reasoning, discernment and convincing evidence. Then whatever it is you believe would be solid and cannot be shaken easily, if at all. So when it comes to God or a creator, we can use the same points to find an answer.
I know most religions teach, you have to have faith. Which is true, but the faith that they speak of and the genuine faith that is described in the bible is quite different. Genuine faith is based on evidence, it is not blind at all. It is not just a leap, with a strong hope something will come about. It is based on knowing something will come about based on the past experience or evidence of past demonstrations of the ability to bring about...
For instance, would you say it takes faith to believe the sun will rise tomorrow. Most people don't even think in those terms. But it clearly describes what faith really is. We do not know for a fact that the sun will shine tomorrow. But we are assured of it because of its past evidence. It has risen every day since you can remember. There are factors in play that also give evidence that it will rise tomorrow as well. So although we don't know what tomorrow will bring we also know for a fact that the sun will rise...You see having this type of faith differs from just believing. Faith is based on something real, and that realness gives evidence or assurance of something in the future although not seen yet.
So with that being said, Beleiving in God, takes the same principles and the time to examine evidence of his existence. There may be reasons why a person would choose not to believe in him due to things they see around them, and not understanding or having satisfying answers, but in reality, just because you don't like or understand something or someone doesn't mean a person does not exist. I am not sure if you believe or not, but either way, there is solid evidence of his existence as well as answers to all of your questions you may or may not have regarding Life in general.
If you would like to discuss it further I would be happy to do so with you. If not, feel free to go to jw.org and you can find a wealth of information as well as practical and timely videos. Nice talking to you!
