In most high schools, biology, chemistry, and physics are required courses. Normally, students would take biology in their freshmen or sophomores years. To answer your question, from my perspective, it is good to learn more knowledge, very different than chemistry or physics. After 10th grade, you probably study much more advanced than basic biology, and you would be the "smarty pant" in the class for seeking various approaches to one problem. However, you still could find something new in the course, even though the teachers would treat you by freshmen standard. On the other hand, it is not a difficult course, especially for college applications. If you have an option to choose AP course, I will suggest you take other classes than biology. Anyways, best luck to you.
